The 2009 Ford Focus RS, is looking like a serious sport compact, something the Ford Focus lineup has been lacking since the beginning, except for a little stint with the less-than-stellar 2004-2005 Ford SVT-Focus. But much faster...
The Focus RS does make use of the Ford 2.5-liter turbocharged motor and adding unique camshafts, an all-new cylinder head and a larger turbocharger, the engine now produces 295 hp and 302 lb-ft of torque. That power is transmitted to the ground via a six-speed manual transmission, with a torque-biased limited slip differential and a new short-throw shifter.
Sorry but the Focus RS is for the European market only! If you plan to go to Europe to get one, please get one for me too.
Come on Ford!!
