My daily driver
« on: December 30, 2006, 07:22:55 AM »
OK since there is only two cream puffs in the club I thought that I would post on my daily driver since I don't drive Tstats every day and it is a fair weather driver. Well having a job where I have to be able to get to work in any weather conditions and having gone though the faze of the family mini van (which s***ked) I decided that I would get a SUV the bigger the better I decided on a 2005 Ford Expedition  I got it in March of 05 it is a Eddie Bauer 4X4 w/ 5.4L 3v in  black with the gold trim and my wife and I love it. I like the ride and the comfort of the vehicle of course I decided that it would have all the extras the only thing that was not in this package was the entertainment system but could have been installed for $1500.00 for a fold down 7.5" monitor with wireless headsets was a little to much I can get 17" Flat Panel LCD Flipdown Television with Built-in DVD Player for $995.00 a $150.00 to install the system. I will post pics later I'm at work and can't load pics.

Impatiently waiting for pictures...    :ghst:
The 5.4 swap has been called a bad idea, and considered an underpowered considerable waste of time, since 2007.

Nice to see that most donít think that anymore.

It was just enough to screw up traffic and make a mess of the cars.

Well :ralph: is disturbed I went to make an appointment with the dealership that I have been doing business since 1989 has sold it's Ford division of the dealership. :ralph: is a personal friend of the son of the owner and I wasn't told of this granted the sale was not finial until the 3rd of Jan. I guess I'm lucky I have a family member that works for Ford (and still has a job)and can still get a good deal from Ford when I need a new car. That how I got my Expedition my buddy had ordered the vehicle I wanted I got the pin number from my relative when the truck came in and I sat  down to do the paper work I told I had a pin number the was a fixed price right from Ford so you don't have salesmen fighting over your sale cause they make very little on commission.

Well I never posted this but three days later I my truck and I where involved in an accident not a bad one but a nice old gentleman decided to take a left turn from the right lane. Hit my bumper and right front tire it didn't look bad a few scratches. The guy stepped up and took the full blame of the accident. The repair cost $1200.00 and my buddy's shop did a great job sorry I was out of town so I wasn't able to get pics when it was in the shop. But I was happy when I got it back I like the ride of Expy and after driving a Dodge Dakota 4x4 pickup truck for a week I ready for my truck back.

I hate to be paying your insurance bill...  It seems like there is an accident in your household every 3 months????::)

Well as far as my insurance bill has actually dropped $350.00 from last year. I paid $2,418.00 for this year for my 05 Expy, 97 Cougar and a under 25 driver operating both vehicles. Plus this accident wasn't my fault so no surcharge so no added cost.
