2011 Ford Shelby GT500 Convertible
« on: February 10, 2010, 06:01:19 AM »
The aluminum 5.4L engine looses 102 pounds and gains 10 HP.  It is rated at 550 horsepower and 510 lb-ft. of torque.  This engine will not have a roots blower for improved performance and  a large two-row intercooler with 40 percent more cooling capacity.  80 percent of the torque is delivered between 1,750 and 6,250 rpm.

Here is  the video:

Look out the 2011 Shelby GT500 will be the first modern Shelby without a gas guzzler tax!  The EPA estimates 15 mpg city, and 23 mpg highway.

Hey hey!  If you ever ate breakfast with :freddie: you would know that he will not eat a donut unless it was cooled in bacon grease!  When it comers to Fred's breakfast bacon fat rules!

The 5.4 swap has been called a bad idea, and considered an underpowered considerable waste of time, since 2007.

Nice to see that most donít think that anymore.
