stain on the head line
« on: January 07, 2007, 10:18:09 PM »
OK I have 97 Cat with a moon roof. I was getting water between the moon roof and the visors. I blew out the four drains for the system and checked the seal gap for .025 clearance around the glass as the repair manual but now my problem is I have a white stain on the head liner where the water had dried. Living in the Northeast I'm not sure if it's a salt stain or not. We get two inches of snow and they lay enough salt and chemical for six storms my cat that was alpine green was white. So dose anyone know how to get the stains out. I found the leak it was leaking from the windshield that was installed wrong.

Hmmm? 99% probable its salt ; :o
1.wet index finger in mouth...
2. rub on small part of white "stain"
3. taste finger. :o.. if its salty, be sure there is no odor of urea
(odor indicates cat pee :D) :catn:
4 no odor of urea, it's probably salt!  8) try diluting/dissolving some with a wet sponge in a small area.  if that works youve got an answer...

That reminds me when I first moved to PA a skunk seemed to like my car.  Little bugger must have been warming it's self under the hood at night!!!  Every day I would take my car to work and it smelled like Skunk!!  You outta count your stars that is not Skunk Pee!!

No that is not you Pinkella!
The 5.4 swap has been called a bad idea, and considered an underpowered considerable waste of time, since 2007.

Nice to see that most donít think that anymore.
