The Cold morning air here is a dead give-away that winter is here a balmy 12 degrees here but still no white stuff the weathermen here can't even get that right. They where forecasting snow 1-2 inches today and another 1-2 between Friday and Saturday I was glad when I woke to see dry roads and a clear sky.

Yes its like 24 deg here!!!  COLD!!!!  :please:
The 5.4 swap has been called a bad idea, and considered an underpowered considerable waste of time, since 2007.

Nice to see that most donít think that anymore.

It was 17 deg when I went out this morning They are forecasting a high for the week of 27 degrees the cold is now here. But the 2 to 3 inches of snow they forecasted never arrived the storm petered out and we got mostly rain and then slush that frozeand made a slippery mess.

Wussies! when I wuz younger , I remember Jan /Feb weather in Minn. that the average high was lower than 5 below zero for weeks on end... then when it warmed up a bit, there were 20 ft snowdrifts inn the suburbs of Minneapolis. Also have walked around late at nite with  a wlnd chill of -65.... Worst tho was going to the Minneapolis boat show(a true precursor of spring, '75-'76?) and walking back to the parking lot with a -100degree wind chill , and my spit bounced off the sidewalk! I was thankful that the car started that nite, go figure.........

It's not about how cold it is its just that in January when have you seen highs in the 60's to go from that to single digits  thats a shocker. I do no where your coming from as to Minn. I was on a NATO exercises in Duluth at the Air Force base we got 3 feet of snow over two days and then temp dropped to 5 degrees and a 20 mph wind. What sucked was we had to shovel off the birds and around them.

Are you coming north for business or pleasure? As for the snow they are talking anywhere from 2" to 18" ending Thursday AM it all depends on the track it takes along the coast.

Ice?? that stuff for cocktails? tonite it will be about 22 degrees here, and my wife spent a lotta time trying to save some of the blossoms on the Azeleas, and the Impatiens........

I really hate to loose those blooms, but this night will be particularly difficult for the plants, critters, homeless, strawberry farmers and the unprepared........
Thankful we dont have any of your snow tho'
