So the XR7 project begins
« on: December 28, 2012, 08:46:00 PM »
Time to paint the klitty...

 :hide:
The 5.4 swap has been called a bad idea, and considered an underpowered considerable waste of time, since 2007.

Nice to see that most donít think that anymore.

It seems our FF is a chicken.  He claims he was never defeated by me but he seems to forget all those years my Gold Cougar took him on....  I still have the milk shake trophy and Jacket to prove it...  Maybe that is why he says he is gonna retire.   :surr:

Come on FF, get ready I am gonna follow you around this year!

There are a whole lot of pictures that the body shop took of the car in the 3 car wide paint booth.  I am waiting for copies...

Here is a picture of the car drying after painting before wet sanding.

She is bright even indoors in dim lighting.  Almost glows!  The color will serve well on cloudy days. Better wear dark sunglasses when you look at her on a sunny day.  Love the color!

Wet sanding complete...  Putting her together...

Doors are installed...

Oh so nice, the low milage upper windshield trim piece looks NEW!  Needs a little sun to settle flat on the windshield???  Gotta keep the Carlisle badge!

Thanks Bill for these ninety percentile rear windows...  Did not need to emblems I removed the paint from after-all...  since I found NEW OEM emblems...

:)
