The 5.4 swap has been called a bad idea, and considered an underpowered considerable waste of time, since 2007.

Nice to see that most donít think that anymore.

:respect: I'll give some  :respect: :jake: well this was my first boat that my farther and I built the plans that came form Glen L Marine http://www.boatdesigns.com/products.asp?dept=362 the link is the one we built and I raced it at Lake Winnipesaukee when I was 12 and had it till I was 17 my second boat was a 16' Glastron with Mercury 75hp outboard I recently have a Starcraft Medlist 1910 I/O which is 19'7" with 84" beam I would like to get something bigger like a 34' Egg Harbor but I'll have to wait a while for that one.
97 - 4.6L Alpine Green Cougar XR-7 w/ Fiber Concepts Hood, SPC cold air intake, 2.5 SLP Dual Exhaust, Eclipse CD4000 w/ Polk's speakers, Koni Shocks, 11/4" Addco sway bars, and Vogtland more to come.
08 Volvo XC90 loaded.

Looks like something a bud of mine had when we were kids, back in the late 50's...
It was a Pabst hull , with a 25 hp Cliff Martin modified BU class engine , If I remember correctly we hadda keep her going pretty fast to not sink her with 2 in it... remember  going thru a closed throttle channel pretty fast & the sherrif boat (A Chris Craft Cobra) took out fast , after us , supposed to be the fastest thing on Minnetonka. chased us accross Wayzata Bay, We got to the other side , hesitated, and finally took off at full throttle the other way, waved good bye & scooted accross 2 bays , had it loaded atop the car and outa there before they got close enough to read the cars license plates. That boat held an unofficial worlds recotd of 101 mph when Martin had it,  my fat butt probably held her back about 20-30 mph.... pretty heady stuff for a teenager
