Ford makes a profit???
« on: July 27, 2007, 07:35:01 AM »
Egads...  How could they do such a thing?  Rumor has it that it was because they laid off a boat load of people.  Ford's profit was 16 cents a share, I wonder if this is the reason for the decline in the stock exchange???   :-*

Yes Ford Motor Company shocked Wall Street analysts just minutes ago by announcing a $750 million net profit for the 2nd quarter of 2008.   the same time last year they lost $317 million!

The analysts predicted that Ford would post major losses for the 2nd quarter!  Humm...  I hope this is not some sort of financial coverup???   :o  Could we have another Emron?  >:D
The 5.4 swap has been called a bad idea, and considered an underpowered considerable waste of time, since 2007.

Nice to see that most donít think that anymore.

So the profit is temporary due to the selling off of divisions?  :-*

I don't think Volvo was a mistake I have two S40 and there a lot safety improvements for Ford that where shared between the companies. Volvo, Mazda have been the two good investments that have paid dividends Land Rover and Jaguar and they sold another car manufacture (the name I forgot) recently where pulling the company down they still have a long road to travel for big profits.
