94-97 MN12 instrument cluster removal
« on: December 02, 2007, 05:12:40 PM »
As per request...   :D

1.  Warm up the car and note the placement of all the gauges.  You may have to remove and re-attach the needles to the warm set point if they were removed.
2.  Disconnect your negative battery cable.
3:  Use a 7mm socket to remove 3 bolts from plastic panel A. An release the two clips on top of the panel by pulling it.

4.  Tilt the wheel down.  Remove instrument cluster trim piece B by first removing five 6mm bolts and releasing the bottom clips by gently pulling it out.  When the trim is loose remove the defroster switch.
5.  Four 7mm sockets secure the instrument cluster.   Remove the remaining plugs before pulling it completely out.

The instrumnet cluster is removed.   O0
The 5.4 swap has been called a bad idea, and considered an underpowered considerable waste of time, since 2007.

Nice to see that most donít think that anymore.
