« on: December 09, 2006, 10:23:10 AM »
OK I know where a little long in the tooth but I haven't meet a guy the isn't a little kid at heart so what would you like to get for Christmas.
So I'll start with a pair Addco 1 1/4" a 13" brakes system and a circle D torque coveter. This is a start I think of more.
97 - 4.6L Alpine Green Cougar XR-7 w/ Fiber Concepts Hood, SPC cold air intake, 2.5 SLP Dual Exhaust, Eclipse CD4000 w/ Polk's speakers, Koni Shocks, 11/4" Addco sway bars, and Vogtland more to come.

I would like an air compressor and a lift  for christmas!!!  ^-^
The 5.4 swap has been called a bad idea, and considered an underpowered considerable waste of time, since 2007.

Nice to see that most donít think that anymore.

Well, I am looking at a neighbors '98, Icebox white 63000 mi. , leather , etc and the landau roof, dealer chrome pack, with huuuuge baroque chrome stripes on top edge of fender line..... Last of an era...thought it would be sold by now, but he is playing shy....
BTW 98-98 northstars are the engines of choice , with ideal  valve configuration 20000 up had bigger intake and way smaller exhaust for pollution reasons .(Takes a lot more head work to make them run faster)
Thing is its huge, but a few pounds lighter than Big Bird.

Is it as expensive to mod as the 4.6L ford engines?

No, because there are virtually no mods available.... I would just P&P it, add a slightly more aggressive set of mufflers, and let her go at that.** Little custom paint , and a tint on the landau vinyl to slate blue from white and a very subtle boulevard cruiser emerges.... 8)

**Nothing sez I wont dream up some other things to do with it tho', but my current ride is a bit radical for an elderly gentleman of my standing in the community. ;D :D

Last OI looked, mate, those buggers were from Aussie land, and tipped the scales at about 40 thousand bucks or so. times inner high 13's, no better than my humble Birdie's best, and they look funky. Now an Aussie Ford, 5.4 , If I could get one might be a lot more up my alley.....Notice there arent many around ? A few bucks more gets a serious new corvette. Now the Caddy is used , fairly strong , and not too many people have tweaked them much.........waaaay cheaper waaaay more interesting..... Did you know theres a display in the dash that will give you MIL codes bu pushing the a/c control buttons in a certain sequence on the Caddy?

I agree with :jake: on this one if I had to spend that kind of money I get a new stang. Little tight getting in and out of it though.

J.:miller: have you fallen from Ford first you suggest a GTO and now a Challenger. Why not a Marauder.
