Well the hole motor is in California the heads are at MMR along with the intake so the heads are going to port and polish and five angle grind the seats and valves. The intake will be port matched and since the block is there MMR is going to check fitments and clearances.

When is She coming back?   :schh:
The 5.4 swap has been called a bad idea, and considered an underpowered considerable waste of time, since 2007.

Nice to see that most donít think that anymore.

I'm not expecting it back until the end of the month and since the have  the block and they just received the top end today they are going to keep the block until the heads are done they asked if we wanted them to install the heads and ship it as a long block all at once. Need to get a few more componets fly wheel, starter, alternator, cross over tube, headers, and a oil pan this is whats needed for the motor. Then comes the transmission torque converter, and mod the tranny and with that also comes money so I'm hoping to get it done before the end of the car season ends. Plus I have a motor swap to do to the mustang.

Well it cost me $206.00 to ship the block 73 lbs the head castings where 41 lbs each the valves and cam kit was 47 lbs and the lower intake 14 lbs a grand total of 216 lbs can't wait to see the freight bill for the return trip.  Head gasket where one reason we only went with a .020 bore instead of the .030 I wanted to go with the spacing between cylinders would be a little thin.

MMR is sending the same gaskets he uses on his twin turbo Mustang also had to change the head bolts to studs. I wasn't to happy about that because now to remove the heads I'll have to pull the motor because the heads wont clear the shock towers with the studs.

Sounds weird to me.  Why can't they send the flow numbers via fax?   :poop:

Well here is some news. I sent MMR the Tedskid block with instruction to grind off the knock sensor mounts (they need to be removed so the 03 cobra intake will meet the heads) well before they do any work to any block the boil it and pressure test it and they do it again after it is completed to remove shaving (I also boiled it out prior to it leaving for MMR so it has been boiled out three times) well someone forgot to shave off the mounts but at least they realized it prior to shipping this was after they assembled the short block. So it was sent back to assembly and dissembled the knock sensor mounts where ground off and engine was boiled out for the fourth time and pressure tested and sent back to finial assembly and will be shipped on the April 25th. Tommy forgot to ask for the flow charts for the heads I will talk to them once more before they ship the motor ( I hope I don't forget).

If you do not remind them then the chance of not getting it at all increases.  Writing things down really helps with the forgetting thing!  Make a list,,,   :afto2:

I guess we can call your block hard boiled??   :P
