the 4.6 SOCH came in crown vics, f-150, t-birds, cougars, E-vans, and mustangs. the 5.4 SOCH came in trucks. f-150-350 and E-250-350

the 4.6 DOCH motor can be found in Mark VIII, post 93 continantals, mustang Cobra, mercury merauder. the 5.4 DOCH motor is found ONLY in the lincoln navicator until 2004. newer versions are available in the ford gt and mustang gt 500, but those motors start at 15,000$ new.

The 5.4 is the holy grail of modern ford motors, with is and a small nitrouse kit you have a 11 second car with the right trans/rear combo

You had to say dat!  Ooooo nitros on my 5.4L!   A little shot is all I need...

The 5.4 swap has been called a bad idea, and considered an underpowered considerable waste of time, since 2007.

Nice to see that most donít think that anymore.

i left the 3 valve out of my motor ecplanation because putting one of those in a cougar in my opinion would be problamatic at best.... and i hate them. at some point ask soneone who works at a dealership how to do cam phaseres WITHOUT the special tool :hide:
